The Majestic Altiplano CHILE - BOLIVIA

THE MAJESTIC ALTIPLANO CHILE -BOLIVIA... A circuit for the lovers of open spaces, the altiplano landscapes and the richness of the ancient cultures. The itinerary begins with the magnificent parks of Sajama in Bolivia and Lauca in Chile before having discovered the marvels of the Chilean altiplano: the Surire Salt Flats, Chuquicamata, the geysers of Tatio, San Pedro de Atacama, and the valley of the moon. From there, we go into the heart of the altiplano, the region of South Lípez, a place that resembles the creation of the world. Nearby we will find the Tunupa volcano and the great salt desert in Uyuni... We will end our voyage by visiting the historical cities of Sucre and Potosí (nominated as National Heritage Cities by UNESCO). You could end with a walk along the shores of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world, not only to become acclimatized but also to take maximum advantage of this place rich in colors and legends.

A short stop at Lake Chungara (el. 4570 m.a.s.l.), dominated by the impressive Volcano Parinacota (el. 6340 m.a.s.l.), allows us to observe Andean gueese and Ducks, flamingoes… typical birds of high-altitude lagunas. SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA / GEYSERS OF TATIO – VALLEY OF THE MOON

Finally we arrive at the Sol de Mañana Geysers (el. 4850 m.a.s.l.) a volcanic crater from which escape sulfuric fumes and heavy water. At the end of the day we reach Laguna Colorada.
