Cotopaxi volcano, the
second highest peak in Ecuador (5897 m) is situated at 2 hours by road
from Quito.
To climb the worlds highest active volcano, makes for
a beautiful experience, count on a round trip of 8 hours.
Previous climbing experience is not necessary: we offer you some basic
training including practice on ice and the use of climbing ropes.
Bearing in mind the altitude, participants should already be acclimatized
and in good physical health.

Quito
- Cotopaxi national park - Refuge - Glacier school
- Departure from Quito around 10 - 11 in the morning -
Ascent to the car park at the José Ribas refuge
at 4800 meters in a private vehicle. A 45
minutes walk to the refuge. A picnic at the refuge. Glacier
training to test the equipment and assess the level
of each participant. Dinner. At one o'clock in the morning ascent
by rope with our mountain guides. |

national park - Quito - Return to refuge after the
ascent. Breakfast. Rest. Return to Quito around 4 o'clock in the
