Ride on Mountain Bike around Chimborazo volcano

The Chimborazo region is populated by small rural communities; to discover it, doing so with Mountain bikes is truly a fantastic experience. We offer a riding tour from the wildlife Reserve of Chimborazo, through Salinas de Guaranda, with accomodation in typical cabins and shelter.

During these 3 days we will privilege meeting with the people of theses andeans highlands moors. This adventure rich in sceneries and requiring a good deal of efforts, is for people in good physical shape and adventurous some.

Day 1			Quito - Chimborazo Reserve - Downhill on mountain bike - Departure from Quito by private car for the first shelter of the Chimborazo volcano, at an altitude of 4800 meters. It is possible to walk up to 5000 meters and visit the second shelter (Whymper). Return to the car and getting ready the equipment. Downhill on mountain bike from 4800 to 3900 meters (approximately 3 hours ride). Picnic within the Reserve where we can watch a variety of small llamas "Vicuñas". Supper and night in a typical cabin near the Wildlife Reserve.

Day 2			Parchapata - Salinas - Breakfast and departure on Mountain bikes in the Andeans highlands moors passing through Parchapata. Superb mountain sceneries. 4 hours ride (30 km, with 400 meters uphill and 1000 meters downhill). Picnic along the way. Supper and night at the inn.

Day 3			Salinas - Ambato - Breakfast and departure for Ambato using sidetracks in the highlands moors. Picnic during the ride which is 60 km, going downhill 1800 meters. Return to Quito by private car.
