In 1934, Galápagos Islands were declared “Animals sanctuary” in 1934.
Lying on the Equator 970 km west of the Ecuadorian coast, the Galapagos consist of 6 main islands, 12 smaller islands and over 40 small islets.
The islands host many volcanoes and the terrain is basically basaltic.
The most spectacular species to be seen by the visitor are the giant tortoise; marine iguana (the only seagoing lizard in the world and found throughout most of the archipelago); land iguana; Galapagos albatross; Galapagos hawk; red-footed, blue-footed and masked boobies, red billed tropic-bird, frigate birds, dusky lava lizard, mockingbirds and Galapagos sea-lion.
To visit the Galápagos Islands, we
offer different cruises ranging from five to eight days, aboard four possible
categories of ships:
Economic, Tourist, Superior
Tourist or First Class.
Ships travel between islands by night and each day you will visit a different one, with a bilingual guide (English/Spanish). Visits alternate walking tours and snorkelling.
